Kasabian guitarist and songwriter Serge Pizzorno has confirmed his debut solo album The S.L.P. for release on August 30th.

As we’ve previously learned, the album will contain contributions from artists such as slowthai and Little Simz, and Pizzorno has said he intends this new solo vehicle to carry on welcoming collaborations in the future.

Thom Yorke was giving some hints to Londoners with any interest that something was afoot last week, and he duly confirmed a new album entitled ANIMA.

Produced, of course, by Nigel Godrich, it’ll contain nine tracks and is out digitally on June 27th ahead of a physical release on July 19th.

Frightened Rabbit have revealed the first samples of Tiny Changes, the re-recorded version of their Midnight Organ Fight album.

The band revealed last week that they had invited guest musicians to put an entirely new take on their second studio LP to celebrate its tenth anniversary, and the first of those collaborators to be named are Biffy Clyro and Julien Baker – both offering up new versions of The Modern Leper.

After The Libertines headlined and curated the event in 2018, Slaves have been asked to do the same for the Wheels And Fins event this year.

It was a ‘no brainer’ according to Wheels and Fins Founder Dave Melmoth: “With the success of The Libertines curating the lineup in 2018, we needed something energetic, credible and in your face – and there’s no denying that Slaves are that band,” he says.

It’s been a bumpy ride for Pretty Vicious since they first started making waves in 2015, but the band are finally ready to release their debut album Beauty Of Youth on July 12th.

“It’s been a long road to this point and we’re chuffed to bits that after all we’ve been through as a band of brothers we get to share this record with our loyal fans,” they say.

Kate Tempest will tour her Book Of Traps & Lessons album throughout the UK later this year.

The tour of the same name opens at the Oxford Academy on October 14th and will carry on for the remainder of that month in London, Birmingham, Leicester, Brighton and Bristol.

Gerry Cinnamon has unveiled the details of a November tour of the UK and Ireland.

Showing off Cinnamon’s cult rise since the release of debut album Erratic Cinematic, the run will include arena dates in Belfast, Dublin, Liverpool, Leeds, Cardiff and Newcastle. “The last stint was top class,” Cinnamon says of his touring.
