Bill Ryder-Jones live at Brighton Chalk: Photos

Bill Ryder-Jones played Brighton on March 19th.

Bill Ryder-Jones‘ UK tour in support of his recent Iechyd Da album was in Brighton earlier this week.

It was the second time Live4ever caught the tour, after we were also there at the Bristol Thekla a couple of days earlier.

“The understated ache of Hanging Song recalls Badly Drawn Boy, while his proficiency on electric guitar is highlighted on Wild Swans, a reminder as to why he was drafted in for Arctic Monkeys’ live set-up,” our review reads.

There follows another trio of songs, this time from West Kirby Country Primary; Wild Roses, a stinging Daniel and a solo, acoustic Seabirds, the latter resulting in a pin-drop moment from the crowd.

The tour will now move on to mainland Europe, starting in Amsterdam tomorrow night.
