The Horrors‘ new album V will be released on September 22nd.

The news follows last month’s premiere of Machine, and frontman Faris Badwan has said of the anticipated new sound: “It is a risk but life isn’t much fun without risk.”

Starsailor are back with their first studio album since 2009.

Frontman James Walsh describes lead single Listen To Your Heart as an, ‘energetic, emotional song’. “I think in doing what we do, you have to be emotion and instinct lead,” he continues.

An official trailer has been released for the new Morrissey biopic England Is Mine, which is about to close the 71st edition of the Edinburgh International Film Festival.

“Morrissey is one of Britain’s most iconic artists, and this delve into his formative years is a witty and enthralling look at a great music talent,” EIFF Artistic Director Mark Adams has said.

Justin Vernon has arranged new European tour dates for Bon Iver after a planned run earlier this year was cancelled.

“For personal reasons, Bon Iver has cancelled its forthcoming European tour set to begin in Paris on January 22, 2017 and end in London on February 20, 2017 in addition to Justin Vernon’s scheduled appearance on A Prairie Home Companion on January 14, 2017,” a statement explained at the time.

Liam Gallagher has unveiled the second track from his debut solo album As You Were.

Following on from lead single Wall Of Glass, Chinatown tones things down a notch with the requisite Lennon references. “I didn’t want to be reinventing anything or going off on a space jazz odyssey,” Gallagher has said of the LP.

Stone Roses

Ian Brown has apparently cast doubt on the future of the Stone Roses.

Brown is widely reported to have told the crowd at Hampden Park in Glasgow, ‘Don’t be sad it’s over, be happy that it happened’, after they brought their latest spell of huge UK shows to an end.

The xx have been forced to cancel the Iceland leg of their Night + Day event which grew out of the record-breaking London residency last March.

After the Brixton Academy run expanded to take in various multimedia activities and appearances from the likes of Cat Power, Jehnny Beth and the London Contemporary Orchestra, the Iceland edition was due to take place this month with performances from Kamasi Washington, Earl Sweatshirt, Warpaint and more.

Foo Fighters will play a one-off UK gig in London this September.

As part of the of O2 Arena’s 10-year celebrations, the band have lined up a show at the venue on September 19th. Alt-J played their own 10th anniversary gig at the O2 earlier this month.

Slaves will support Kasabian during most of the band’s September tour of North America.
