Liam Gallagher has unveiled the second track from his debut solo album As You Were.
Following on from lead single Wall Of Glass, Chinatown tones things down a notch with the requisite Lennon references. “I didn’t want to be reinventing anything or going off on a space jazz odyssey,” Gallagher has said of the LP.
“It’s the Lennon Cold Turkey’ vibe, The Stones, the classics. But done my way, now.”
Numerous collaborations take place on the album; with Adele songwriter and Foo Fighters producer Greg Kurstin on four tracks. Simon Aldred of Cherry Ghost co-wrote For What It’s Worth while additional production was undertaken by Dan Grech-Marguerat.
