A new album from Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds and SZA‘s day at BST Hyde Park were among last week’s biggest headlines.

Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds have set their new album Wild God for release on August 30th.

Unveiled with its title-track, Nick Cave has said he hopes the LP, ‘has the effect on listeners that it’s had on me’:

“It bursts out of the speaker, and I get swept up with it. It’s a complicated record, but it’s also deeply and joyously infectious. There is never a masterplan when we make a record. The records rather reflect back the emotional state of the writers and musicians who played them. Listening to this, I don’t know, it seems we’re happy.”

After a string of single releases, Twin Atlantic have confirmed the details of their new album Meltdown.

With a digital release set for for August 9th and the physical form to follow on September 13th, the record is being previewed with another new track, World Class Entertainment.

“Over the last 18 months we have been relentlessly obsessing over the making of a new album,” Sam McTrusty has said.

Two Door Cinema Club have confirmed the details of their biggest headline North American tour to-date.

The first leg of the landmark run will take place during the summer, opening at Coca-Cola Roxy in Atlanta, GA on July 13th.

The band hit New York on the 23rd of that month for a gig at The Rooftop at Pier 17, and later wrap up at Coca-Cola Coliseum in Toronto.

Tickets went on sale from March 8th.

Kamasi Washington has set his next studio LP Fearless Movement for release on May 3rd.

On the new record, Washington’s focus has shifted from the heavens to terra firma, thanks in no small part to the birth of his first child.

“Being a father means the horizon of your life all of a sudden shows up,” he’s said.

Air have added a North American tour to the events which are marking 25 years of Moon Safari.

With an anniversary reissue and European tour already announced for a record which Nicolas Godin has described as ‘perfect’, the US and Canadian run has been arranged to start on September 25th in Vancouver, British Columbia, and will be in New York for a show at Beacon Theatre on October 21st.

Touring is due to close at the end of that month with Texas gigs in Dallas and Austin.
