A big concert announcement from Stevie Nicks and new music from St. Vincent were among last week’s biggest headlines.

Stevie Nicks is the latest artist announced for this year’s BST Hyde Park festival.

The Fleetwood Mac legend will be headlining the event on Friday, July 12th, with the full line-up to be announced in due course.

“Anything that draws me back to London ~ and therefore to England ~ fills my heart with joy. And to be able to visit and make music… is always a dream come true.”

Big Thief, Sampha, Jon Hopkins and Sleaford Mods have been confirmed as the headliners for the 2024 edition of Green Man Festival.

Others revealed to be on the bill include The Jesus and Mary Chain, Ezra Collective, Arlo Parks, Julia Holter, Wednesday, Bar Italia, and Lambrini Girls.

They’re all set to perform at the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park between August 15th-18th.

HINDS are back with their new single Coffee.

Produced by Pete Robertson, it’s the first from the now-duo in four years and marks their signing to the Lucky Number label.

“Coffee is a sincericide, screaming the nasty truth as loud as you can with no shame. It’s about admitting to all the things you’re not supposed to like or doing all the things you’re not meant to do. It’s a lot of fun when you can be fully honest and shut that little voice in your head that tells you what you should or shouldn’t do.”

St. Vincent has set her new album All Born Screaming for release on April 26th.

Annie Clark self-produced for the first time during sessions which included a guest appearance from Cate Le Bon on the title-track and more contributions from Rachel Eckroth, Josh Freese, Dave Grohl, Mark Guiliana, Justin Meldal-Johnsen, Stella Mogzawa and David Ralicke.

A video for Broken Man is out now, filmed in Philadelphia last month with director Alex Da Corte.

Cigarettes After Sex have confirmed the details of their next studio record ‘X’s‘.

Announced alongside news of a huge world tour, the album centres around reflections on a four-year relationship experienced by Greg Gonzalez; ‘brutal’, as the bandleader describes it.

“I could sit and talk about this loss to someone, but that wouldn’t scratch the surface. I have to really write about it, sing about it, have the music, and then I can start to analyse and learn from it. Or just relive it—in a good way. I don’t have that Eternal Sunshine-thing of wanting to forget.”

The National and The War On Drugs will head out on a co-headline tour of North America later this year.

With the former coming off the back of a double album release in 2023, and the latter still riding high on 2021’s I Don’t Live Here Anymore, this big joint ticket is set to begin at the BankNH Pavilion in New Hampshire on September 12th.

A date at Forest Hills Stadium in New York is booked for the following night, and the tour will progress on through to October 7th and the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.
