Our recap of the biggest and best headlines we featured during the past seven days includes a quick album release from Taylor Swift and Richard Ashcroft’s live comeback.

The ninth studio album of Taylor Swift’s career, ‘evermore’, was given a quick deadline of midnight (EST) Friday.

Like ‘folklore’ before it, the announcement came out of the blue, Swift saying she and her ‘folklore’ collaborators including The National’s Aaron Dessner and Justin Vernon ‘just couldn’t stop writing songs.

With huge stars such as s Stormzy, FKA twigs, Dave and Skepta all nominated for prizes, it was a night for the connoisseurs to get the headlines, though Headie One did pick up Best Male Act, and JME got the public’s vote for Best Grime Act.

Richard Ashcroft is aiming to make his return to the stage next year.

As we all hope for a resurgence in live music during 2021, the Verve frontman has signalled his own part in it by detailing two shows at the London Palladium on May 21st and 22nd, his first since an appearance at the Immersed Festival in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust last January.
