System Of A Down have returned to release their first new music in 15 years in order to raise awareness and funds for what they describe as, ‘a dire and serious war being perpetrated upon cultural homelands’.




Protect The Land and Genocidal Humanoidz were written by guitarist Daron Malakian, speaking for all his band who share Armenian heritage. Proceeds will go towards the Armenia Fund.

Gorillaz have released episode 8 of their Song Machine series, this one centered around the Valley Of The Pagans track which features a contribution from Beck.

The whole Season One collection of Song Machine came out last month, featuring previous ‘episodes’ which have starred the likes of Elton John, Robert Smith and slowthai.

Liam Gallagher will release a collector’s vinyl box-set edition of his second solo album Why Me. Why Not? on November 27th.

Packed up in the limited version are singles of each of the fourteen tracks which featured on the album’s deluxe edition, presented on white 7” vinyl with different coloured printed image flipsides and each with its own unique artwork.

Arcade Fire last week used their appearance on Showtime’s US election special hosted by Stephen Colbert to debut a new track entitled Generation A.

Whether it goes on to feature on the band’s next album remains to be seem, but its first performance comes after Win Butler has spent 2020 regularly talking about their sixth record, the follow-up to 2017’s Everything Now.

Bruce Springsteen become the first artist to chart in the US’ Billboard Top 5 across six decades after the release of his first album with the E Street Band since 2014’s High Hopes last month.

Letter To You has debuted at #2 on the Billboard charts, continuing what is now a record breaking run which started with the classic rock of Born To Run back in 1975.

They’re of course in remote settings these days, but two of 2020’s brightest new talents were the live guests of Later…With Jools Holland last week – check out performances from Working Men’s Club and Greentea Peng below.

Greentea Peng aired her summer single Hu Man not long after debuting its follow-up Revolution, while Working Men’s Club brought out Valleys, one of the major singles from their recently released self-titled debut album.
