Stormzy has been confirmed as the first Pyramid Stage headliner for Glastonbury 2019 not long after co-organiser Emily Eavis dropped some big hints about this first bit of news.

Speaking at BBC Music Introducing Live last weekend, she said the event’s Friday headliner ‘hasn’t had a stage like this before’. “We have got one of the artists that I’m most excited about in Britain right now,” she continued. “This to me is going to be a moment. And he can become the enormous person that he is.”

All Points East organisers have signed up Bon Iver as the second headliner for next year’s festival.

Justin Vernon will be joined at Victoria Park in the spring of 2019 by Mac DeMarco, First Aid Kit, The Tallest Man On Earth, Julien Baker and Snail Mail, as well as John Grant who released his new album Love Is Magic last month.

Fleetwood Mac will play a second show at Wembley Stadium in London next year.

With the original date of Sunday, June 16th all sold out, the second concert has been arranged for June 18th. Chief support in London and at the RDS Arena in Dublin will come from The Pretenders.

Richard Ashcroft and George Ezra are the confirmed headliners for Neighbourhood Weekender 2019.

The Neighbourhood Festival’s offshoot is returning on May 25th and 26th next year at Warrington Park in Cheshire, and has confirmed many more names including Primal Scream, Pales Waves, Gaz Coombes, The Blinders, Mystery Jets, Sam Fender, Kate Nash, Gerry Cinnamon, Slaves, The Charlatans and The Vaccines.
