Song by The Fall deemed not suitable for Twilight soundtrack

The Fall‘s contribution to the Twilight movie franchise’s soundtrack was rejected – and according to the band’s frontman Mark E. Smith this is because the song in question was ‘too scary’.

The Undertones and The Fall have been confirmed to perform at a special gig in memory of the late DJ John Peel, with proceeds going towards the the John Peel Centre for Creative Arts in Stowmarket.

Mark E. Smith and his latest band of Fall members will tour the UK from the end of next month in support of their 29th studio album ‘Ersatz G.B.‘, which is due for release on November 14th.

The band, which has been led by enigmatic frontman Mark E. Smith through many line-up changes since forming in 1976, will launch the tour with a show at the SWN Festival in Cardiff on October 22nd, moving north to the Leeds Stylus for a first show in November on the 2nd.

Interview / Review: Friends Of Mine Festival 2011 with The Charlatans, Buzzcocks & more!

May 20th-22nd saw the first Friends Of Mine Festival take place at the idyllic Capesthorne Hall, Cheshire, showcasing a great line up of established acts such as Bad Lieutenant, the Buzzcocks and The Cribs alongside newly signed bands including Factory Floor and Where’s Strutter?.

The  typical British weather, which even included a stage blowing down, couldn’t dampen spirits as three days of great music was ended on the Sunday’s main stage by curator Tim Burgess‘ performance with The Charlatans.

Live4ever was in attendance and was lucky enough to catch a few of the artists who helped to make this brand new event an undoubted success over the course of the weekend…

Damon Albarn Thinks Gorillaz Glastonbury Show Was ‘Funny’

The Fall Announce New Album, UK Tour

Cult Manchester group The Fall have confirmed the track listing of their new album, as well as announcing details of a UK & Ireland tour in the Spring.

The band, which has been led by enigmatic frontman Mark E. Smith through many line-up changes since forming in 1976, will release their 28th studio album through Domino Records on April 26th. Called ‘Your Future, Our Clutter‘, the track listing will be:
