The 50th anniversary of The Beatles‘ classic 1968 self-titled double LP, commonly known as The White Album, will be celebrated with an expanded reissue on November 9th.

Newly mixed by producer Giles Martin and engineer Sam Okell, 27 of the early ‘Esher’ demos and 50 session takes are also included in the package.

Muse have revealed the North American and European cities they’ll be visiting during their live duties behind new album Simulation Theory.

There’s no concrete dates yet, but fans who pre-order the album will be able to get tickets for the confirmed cities which include New York, Toronto, London, Lisbon and Rome.

Bestival has been bought out by a Dorset-based businessman shortly after reportedly falling into administration.

Both Bestival and Camp Bestival are now said to be under the ownership of James Benamor, who has paid £1.1m for an event which, from its long-term base on the Isle Of Wight, grew from humble 2004 beginnings to become one of the UK’s most popular summer festivals under the stewardship of Rob Da Bank.

Super Furry Animals are the latest band to tell their own story through a career of live sessions recorded with the BBC.

Most immediately like R.E.M., the Welsh band have detailed a compilation entitled …At The BBC for release on November 23rd which will bring together five years worth of live appearances recorded for esteemed DJs such as John Peel, Mark Radcliffe and Steve Lamacq.

The second track from Richard Ashcroft‘s new solo album Natural Rebel is streaming online.

Speaking about Born To Be Strangers, Ashcroft has emphasised its focus on the guitar: “This record has more guitar playing on it than the last. We’ve reached the point where the guitar has to do something if you’re gonna play it.”

The Twilight Sad have added more UK shows to their It Won/t Be Like This All The Time world tour.

With the new album slated for release on January 18th next year, gigs in Manchester, London and Glasgow have been arranged for not long after, joining another London show and one in Edinburgh which are booked for November this year.

Catfish & The Bottlemen‘s next UK and Ireland tour will take place in February 2019.

The band have moved their SSE Wembley Arena gig, originally scheduled for this coming November, to be a part of the arena run which opens in Nottingham on February 19th and also visits Plymouth, Hull, Dublin and Belfast.

Liam Gallagher will play a gig at Union Chapel in London on December 13th in aid of the homeless charity Shelter.

A ballot is open now for a chance to get hold of a ticket as Gallagher heads towards the end of a year which has seen his status as one of the UK’s biggest live draws firmly reasserted.
