Super Furry Animals to release At The BBC compilation in November

Super Furry Animals

Super Furry Animals are the latest band to tell their own story through a career of live sessions recorded with the BBC.

Most immediately like R.E.M., the Welsh band have detailed a compilation entitled …At The BBC for release on November 23rd which will bring together five years worth of live appearances recorded for esteemed DJs such as John Peel, Mark Radcliffe and Steve Lamacq.

There’s a limited 4-disc vinyl box-set available, as well as super limited 5-disc edition, and CD and digital versions. “The five, excitable kids of the Super Furry Animals saw many wonders of the modern world through our innocent eyes, but finding ourselves playing songs in John Peel’s home, or in the carpeted muffle of Maida Vale, elevated the experience to new levels,” they say.

“Our thanks go to those rescuing the recordings from our dusty lofts, Kliph Scurlock and Donal Whelan, and the surgical attention to detail by the great artistic minds of Mark James and Pete Fowler. Also, long live public broadcasting.”
