Paul McCartney has been doing some serious reminiscing since kick-starting the promotional trail for his new album Egypt Station, whether it be taking a ride through Liverpool with James Corden (patience of a saint) or joining thousands of tourists at the crossing outside Abbey Road (this time not bare-footed).

Next on the list is the Cavern Club, where he played a special one-off gig last week packed full of Beatles favourites and early rock and roll numbers.

After a short tease, the Arctic Monkeys have posted a video for the title-track of their Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino LP.

It was filmed in Reno, Nevada with co-directors Ben Chappell and Aaron Brown, and offer more from an album whose ‘wild diversionary nature may result in no-one ever feeling safe from the band’s next step again‘, according to Live4ever’s review.

Graham Coxon will play his only UK show of the year in Newcastle-Under-Lyme shortly before heading out on a full tour of North America.

Coxon is at the New Vic Theatre on September 17th just a couple of days before North American dates open at the Mod Club in Toronto.

The Beta Band‘s first compilation The Three EPs will be re-released later this year on its 20th anniversary.

Out on September 14th, the remastered EPs will be available in deluxe vinyl, digital and CD form. Additionally, those who purchase the deluxe vinyl edition from independent record shops will be able to get a copy of the band’s one-time fanzine The Flower Press.

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds headlining Neighbourhood Weekender 2018 (Gary Mather for Live4ever)

Noel Gallagher‘s third solo album Who Built The Moon? and Arctic Monkeys‘ Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino have been nominated for the 2018 Mercury Prize.

While both records have split opinion within their own fanbases, they have in turn been among the most critically acclaimed of their respective careers.

After sharing Happy Man and House In LA earlier this year as their first new material since 2014, Jungle have posted another two new tracks today to go with the confirmation of second studio album For Ever.

Heavy, California and Cherry are previewing the record ahead of its release on September 14th, and a lengthy world tour has been detailed too, starting soon after in Hamburg.

Out on September 14th, it’ll be a 14-track affair with Eighteen picked as its newest teaser.

The 50th anniversary of the Small Faces’ classic third album Ogdens’ Nut Gone Flake will be celebrated on September 28th.

That date will bring special deluxe editions on various formats including deluxe triple 180-gram red, white and blue vinyl LP box-set and 3CD+1DVD, featuring the remastered album along with new bonuses such as a 72-page book, memorabilia, sleevenotes and rare tracks.
