Cigarettes After Sex will return on October 25th with their second album Cry.

Out via via Partisan Records, the sound of the record ‘is completely tied to the location’, according to Greg Gonzalez, referring to the band’s stay in Mallorca during the week their debut album was released in 2017, and which informed the early sessions for this follow-up.

Fans will get to experience reworked versions of Snow Patrol songs when the band tours the UK and Ireland later this year.

From November 13th and the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff, Snow Patrol are on tour until the first week of December, playing cities along the way such as Oxford, Brighton, Dublin, Belfast and Edinburgh.

The new Crazy Horse album Neil Young got us ready for earlier this month has been handed a release date of October 25th.

As promised by the veteran songwriter when writing on the the Neil Young Archives site, a first single has also been shared, entitled Milky Way.

The Wheels & Fins Festival in Kent, which was to have a day headlined and curated by Slaves, has been cancelled due to financial difficulties.

“It is with absolute heart-breaking agony that due to financial constraints on our small growing independent festival we have been forced into the devastating decision that Wheels and Fins festival 2019 has been cancelled,” a statement explains.

The Later Years

The post-Roger Waters era of Pink Floyd is to be brought together on a 16-disc collection from November 29th.

Pink Floyd The Later Years will start with 1987’s A Momentary Lapse Of Reason and also include subsequent studio LPs The Division Bell and its much more recent companion The Endless River, whilst two live albums from the period – Delicate Sound Of Thunder and Pulse – are on there too.

Bombay Bicycle Club have premiered their new single Eat, Sleep, Wake (Nothing But You).

The band primed it for release on social media at the start of lastweek, writing: “It’s our first single in five years.”

Slowthai has been announced as the support for BROCKHAMPTON‘s November/December North American tour after featuring on the rap collective’s fifth studio album GINGER.

A video for Slowthai’s collaboration, Heaven Belongs To You, has been released too with him set to join the tour from its opening in Phoenix on November 1st.

“One word I had in mind for this record was ‘psychedelic’, a dreamy, otherworldly feel,” Isobel Campbell has said after making her return with the new album There Is No Other.

The LP is set to arrive on January 31st next year, 14 years on from her last solo album. The time in between brought a trio of excellent releases with Mark Lanegan, while marriage and a move to Los Angeles represented personal change for Campbell too.
