Blossoms have set their second studio album Cool Like You for release on April 27th.

The successor to 2016’s UK number one, self-titled debut album is being led by I Can’t Stand It, a track which received its first play on BBC Radio 1. “Longevity’s where it lies,” frontman Tom Ogden said on Annie Mac’s show.

Celebrations marking the tenth anniversary of The Courteeners‘ debut St. Jude will now include a revised, ‘Re:Wired’ edition of the album, the first example of which has been shared.

The re-recording of Not Nineteen Forever preempts an entirely new version of the LP which is ready for the anniversary tour dates which include gigs at the Manchester Arena and Royal Albert Hall in the the near future.

The Kills have returned abruptly to unveil a new single.

It’s a cover version of Saul Williams’ List Of Demands which they’ve released, a song which Jamie Hince says has been a part of the band for a good while. “It’s a song of strength and empowerment, rooted in the idea of rising above,” he reflects.

The Rolling Stones have added a third London date to their European stadium tour.

Fulfilling their promise to make up for a lack of UK gigs last year, Mick, Keith, Ronnie and Charlie earlier last week announced typically big outdoor shows.

Chvrches will release their latest album Love Is Dead on May 25th.

This announcement has come with the new single My Enemy, featuring Matt Berninger. “We’ve all been huge fans of The National for a long time,” Lauren Mayberry says of this.

Gomez Bring It On

With plans to tour Australia, the UK and North America well established, Gomez will now release an expanded version of Bring It On as part of its 20th anniversary celebrations.

“Gomez came along at exactly the right moment,” DJ Steve Lamacq remembers of the Mercury Prize winning LP.

The Manic Street Preachers have posted a lyric video for their recently-premiered track Distant Colours.

It came complete with a video starring actress Sarah Sayuri earlier this month, and this lyric video doesn’t stray far from its predecessor’s location.

Another week, another outdoor UK show announced by Noel Gallagher.

Gallagher’s latest assignment will take him to the Downs Festival in Bristol on September 1st, when he’ll headline a bill which also contains his close ally Paul Weller.

“To mark the beginning of our biggest ever UK & Ireland tour in March, we simply wanted to release some new music,” Jonathan Higgs explains.

Liam Gallagher and Stereophonics will head up a new event at Hylands Park in Chelmsford later this year with V Festival now no more.

The first ever RiZE Festival will take place on August 17th and 18th, with Plan B, Manic Street Preachers and Circa Waves among the artists due to perform on the day topped by Liam Gallagher.
