The iconic MTV Unplugged series was relaunched by Biffy Clyro last month, with the accompanying album MTV Unplugged: Live At Roundhouse London being released on the same day, May 25th.

Shame will visit North America for another leg of gigs in October.

With shows in Chicago, Detroit, Toronto and Montreal booked for July, the band’s return has been set for the first couple of weeks of October, including two nights at the Music Hall Of Willamsburg in Brooklyn.

Miles Kane‘s new solo album Coup De Grace has been confirmed for release on August 10th.

The title-track has also been shared with Kane’s UK tour set to resume in Cambridge later this month. “This record for me is the most important record I’ve made to date,” he’s said.

Sorcererz has been shared from the new Gorillaz album The Now Now.

The LP will swiftly succeed last year’s Humanz album on June 29th, and while the familiar focus on collaboration is still in evidence, this studio effort is set to shine the spotlight much more on creative leader Damon Albarn.

Kasabian

Kasabian @ O2 Arena, London (Alberto Pezzali for Live4ever)

Kasabian will get in shape for their headline appearance at the Isle Of Wight Festival on June 21st with a Bristol show 24 hours earlier.

The band have lined up the gig at Bristol’s O2 Academy, and after Isle Of Wight more European festival bookings are coming up in July including being part of the ridiculously superb bill at Mad Cool in Madrid.

As the BBC’s live hub for more than 80 years, Maida Vale has played host to countless bands and programmes from The Beatles’ radio specials to the fondly remembered Peel Sessions. Now though, its days are numbered.
