It’s here soon after The White Stripes’ November 2005 From The Basement session was also posted online.
Another treat from Jack and Meg White here after the release of the duo’s first compilation late last year.
This takes us back to the autumn of 2001, when The White Stripes performed Hotel Yorba as part of their long-awaited UK television debut on Later…With Jools Holland.
There’s been plenty to remind us of the greatness of the band, if it was needed, since their Greatest Hits collection came out late last year, scoring a 7.5 from Live4ever:
“The rocket ship to success, and pressure that comes from being quickly renowned and only having one other to share it with, nearly broke them; Jack considered their divorce in early 2000 to be The White Stripes’ end and started rehearsing with other musicians when, much to his surprise and relief, Meg returned and sat back down on her stool,” our review reads.
“On Greatest Hits, all the gang are present, a reminder that in the largely pre-streaming era, The White Stripes had a non-portentous thirteen Top 30 hits in the UK between Hotel Yorba in 2001 and Conquest in 2007.”
