The Last Shadow Puppets cover Arctic Monkeys track at Rockwave Athens

Fan footage of The Last Shadow Puppets performing the Arctic Monkeys track ‘505‘ at Rockwave Athens has been shared on YouTube.

The ‘Favourite Worst Nightmare‘ closer has a strong association with Miles Kane, and it got even closer last weekend as he and Alex Turner aired the rare cover in Greece.

The pair are hard on the campaign trail behind this year’s ‘Everything You’ve Come To Expect‘ album, whose genesis they talked us through during an interview in New York back in February.

“For me I’d always thought if we were going to do one of these again we’d need a stimulus like we had the first time,” Turner told us. “We’d just become friends and were enjoying each others’ company. We had something we were chasing after that we’d just found, and I thought if we were going to do it again, do we need a new thing that we’re going to be chasing after?”

“I realised that’s not the case because, as important as that reference material was for the first record, really it’s about the songs themselves and us creating them together.”
