The Last Shadow Puppets were live on French TV’s Le Grand Journal this week promoting their second album ‘Everything You’ve Come To Expect‘. Three tracks were performed in total, including debut LP highlight ‘Standing Next To Me‘ – all can be seen below.

Alex Turner and Miles Kane could be heading back to number one in the UK after relaunching their songwriting partnership eight years on from ‘The Age Of The Understatement‘.

“For me I’d always thought if we were going to do one of these again we’d need a stimulus like we had the first time,” Turner told Live4ever during an exclusive interview. “We’d just become friends and were enjoying each others’ company. We had something we were chasing after that we’d just found, and I thought if we were going to do it again, do we need a new thing that we’re going to be chasing after?”

“I realised that’s not the case because, as important as that reference material was for the first record, really it’s about the songs themselves and us creating them together.”
