Starcrawler are finishing off 2018 with a brand new song entitled Hollywood Ending.
It’s out after year which saw the band release their debut album, and is summed up by vocalist Arrow de Wilde as her version ‘of a prayer’. “In the song I pray for ‘The End’,” she continues.
“The end of being lied to, toyed with, the end of false friendships and relationships. I’m begging for a clean start. Let me walk into the light.”
Live4ever sat down with Starcrawler back in March at SXSW to discuss their self-titled debut LP and it seventies influence. “We’re happy to be in this era doing what we’re doing,” drummer Austin told us. “I’m happy to be making music like this now currently because it gets people excited and interested in music I also listened to when I was younger.”
“It’s cool seeing people excited because they haven’t seen stuff like ours in a while. But then again it also kind of sucks because people will be like, ‘oh you’re just a nostalgia band’, and it’s like, ‘no we’re just not a sh***y DJ or something. Sorry we’re like, cool…”
