A landmark tour for Paul Weller and the new album from Billie Eilish were among our biggest headlines last week.
Paul Weller will play North American gigs later this year in support of his new album ’66’.
With the LP due for release on May 24th, the tour has been arranged to start in Red Bank, NJ on September 24th, and is due in New York the following night for a concert at Kings Theatre in Brooklyn.
The first Canadian show is booked for the 19th at History in Toronto, and the tour will wrap up with Californian gigs at the end of the month in San Francisco, El Cajon, Anaheim and Los Angeles.
The Lemon Twigs have unveiled ‘the thematic backbone’ from their new album A Dream Is All We Know.
With the LP due for release on May 3rd, How Can I Love Her More? is the band’s attempt to bridge the gap between, ‘professional Brill Building writing and the more off-the-wall writing style of the post Sgt Pepper psychedelic scene’.
“There are a lot of musical ideas but it’s still a catchy pop song,” Brian and Michael D’Addario added. “We’re very excited for people to hear it!”
Liam Gallagher and John Squire were the musical guests of The Tonight Show last week as they aired I’m A Wheel from their recent self-titled LP.
The appearance acted as an appetiser for the short stop the pair’s touring made in the US at Brooklyn’s Paramount venue, following a UK run which Live4ever caught last month at the Kentish Town Forum in London.

Billie Eilish has confirmed her new album Hit Me Hard And Soft will be released on May 17th.
The formats available from that date will reflect, ‘a continued effort to minimize waste and combat climate change’, these being ‘limited variants’ of the album of which the physical versions will be made from 100% recyclable materials.
Hit Me Hard And Soft is another collaboration with Finneas, and will not be preceded with any singles.
Mitski has completed the line-up for this year’s All Points East Festival.
Joining her at London’s Victoria Park on Sunday, August 18th are special guests including beabadoobee, TV Girl, Ethel Cain, Arlo Parks and Wasia Project.
The headliner was a part of Live4ever’s Best Of 2023 series after the September release of The Land Is Inhospitable And So Are We.
St Vincent has added some UK and European dates to the North American tour which was announced last month.
The shows will take place before previously confirmed festival appearances at Best Kept Secret and Northside, and are due to begin in the UK at Bristol’s SXW on May 31st.
Following that is a concert at London’s Royal Albert Hall on the first day of June.
