Among the biggest headlines we featured last week were the latest solo track from Romy and UK arena dates for New Order.

Romy has unveiled another solo track, this one entitled Enjoy Your Life.

The latest hook up with Fred Again.., it was also co-produced by XX bandmate Jamie and Stuart Price, and was inspired by the Glenn-Copeland line ‘My mother says to me enjoy your life’:

“Those few words felt like the most simple and disarming sentence. Ever since I was 11, I’ve been aware of and drawn to the phrase, life is short.”

Paul Simon has announced his new album Seven Psalms.

The first collection of new material from the songwriting legend since 2016’s Stranger To Stranger, it’s a continuous 33-minute piece of music woven through seven interlinked segments.

This record is to more immediately follow In The Blue Light, on which ten select cuts from Simon’s back catalogue were reimagined in the midst of his 2018 farewell tour of North America.

Danny Lee Blackwell will release his latest Night Beats album Rajan via Fuzz Club on July 14th.

“Blending the elements of rare underground Anatolian deep funk with R&B and soul, with a sample-oriented mindset can be compared to the sound of hot ghee sizzling on a pan,” Blackwell has said of the single.

“Just like how the ghee melts and blends with the other ingredients, the fusion of these different music genres creates a unique and harmonious sound that melds in mysterious oneness. And just like how the sound of sizzling ghee adds a depth of flavor to the dish, the layered and sample-based approach to the creation adds different dimensions to the music that allows the listener’s imagination to run free.”

Dedicated to John Lydon’s wife Nora who sadly passed away earlier this month, it’s being previewed with the single Penge – Lydon has said:

“Nora loved the album, she wouldn’t have wanted us to postpone it or change any of our plans.”

Girl Ray have announced the details of their third studio album.

Prestige was co-produced by Poppy Hankin with Ben H. Allen and is being previewed today with Hold Tight, whose video was directed by Alex Cantouris.

“Lyrically this song is about how appreciative I am to have found my partner, and how my mental load feels so much lighter and easier to bear now that I’m with her,” Hankin said.
