Anniversary celebrations for Green Day and CHVRCHES were among our biggest headlines last week.

A 30th anniversary deluxe edition of Green Day‘s 1994 third studio album Dookie has been announced.

6LP, 4CD and digital versions will be released, featuring demos, outtakes and two contemporary live performances from Woodstock and Barcelona, telling the full story of Green Day’s major label debut which catapulted the band to worldwide fame.

It’s due out on September 29th.

The Maccabees‘ Hugo and Felix White have officially launched their new band 86TVs with the debut single Worn Out Buildings.

The pair are joined in the group by the third White brother Will (aka solo artist BLANc), and former Noisettes and Stereophonics drummer Jamie Morrison.

A UK tour, meanwhile, will visit Brighton, Hull, Hebden Bridge, Edinburgh, Huddersfield and Cambridge next month, while an appearance at Sheffield’s Float Along Festival is also booked.

Jack Tatum has announced the details of his new Wild Nothing album.

Hold has been set for release on October 27th, featuring contributions from the likes of Molly Burch and Becca Mancari, while Hatchie is the guest on its lead single Headlights On.

“This track was incredibly cathartic for me,” Tatum said. “It’s a song about your relationship reaching its most brittle moment and still trying to find even the smallest open window that can lead you back to that person.”

CHVRCHES have announced a 10th anniversary reissue of their debut album The Bones Of What You Believe.

“It feels quite strange that Bones is almost a decade old,” Lauren Mayberry said. “In some ways, it’s like it just happened, but also like that era was a lifetime ago. We are very grateful to all the fans who gave that album a special place in their heart, and still show us so much kindness today.”

Four previously unheard songs will accompany the special edition – the first of which, Manhattan, is streaming online now.

The rescheduled dates for Madonna‘s Celebration Tour have been revealed.

The tour was put on hold back in June after the pop superstar was admitted to intensive care with a bacterial infection, but only select gigs in Tulsa, Nashville, San Francisco, Las Vegas and Phoenix have been permanently cancelled.

The North American leg is instead due to kick-off in Brooklyn on December 13th, and will continue on through a seriously hectic schedule into the spring of next year.

Sufjan Stevens has announced his new album Javelin, the first collection of solo music from the songwriter since 2020’s The Ascension.

The 10-track LP is being previewed with So You Are Tired, and is swiftly following Stevens’ Reflections collaboration with Justin Peck.

“Many would be intimidated by the just the idea, but there’s no question of seeking to appeal only towards exclusivity in the seven pieces which make the release up,” our review reads.
