Kasabian will be releasing their new album ‘Happenings’ next summer.

Kasabian have announced a homecoming concert at Leicester’s Victoria Park.

Kaiser Chiefs are set to provide the main support when the gig takes place on July 6th next year, the general sale of tickets starting from 9.30am UK time on December 8th.

We are truly honoured to be playing Victoria Park in our beloved hometown, with all our people for summer solstice two. We cannot wait to get out there and play the biggest party of the summer with you all. See you in the mosh pit.

We caught the band live at Alexandra Palace in London last year, witnessing a show which proved them to still be a, ‘fearsome live proposition’:

“More MC than singer, he begins proceedings in a magnificently preposterous fur coat (swiftly abandoned, surely for reasons of heat and restriction) as a ball of energy and doesn’t let up, the huge stage not enough to contain him,” our review reads. “His voice, not his strongest asset, is bolstered by Harvey while the years’ practice in being co-singer have paid off.”

“Pizzorno could be forgiven for abandoning some of the better-known songs in their canon for some numbers on which he had lead vocal, but he refuses to shirk the challenge and delivers the hits.”
