British Summer Time will host Green Day in London next year.
Since launching in 2013, the series of gigs has welcomed some of music’s biggest names such as The Rolling Stones, Stevie Wonder, Kendrick Lamar and Mumford & Sons to Hyde Park, and will add Green Day to that list on July 1st 2017. Tickets go on sale this Friday, October 7th.
“London in the summer, us and tens of thousands of fans having the biggest party in one of the world’s most legendary venues,” frontman Billie Joe Armstrong comments.
“We have the best year to look forward to and this has just made it extra special.”
Green Day’s new album Revolution Radio is due for release on October 7th and is later toured in the UK during February 2017 at arenas in Leeds, Manchester and London.
