Gaz Coombes is on his fourth solo album.

Gaz Coombes is leading The Courteeners on the latest UK Record Store Chart.

But there’s been a big W for The Courteeners over on the UK’s main album chart, where the 15th anniversary release of their debut album St. Jude has gone to number one, breaking the record for the longest gap between release and topping the chart in the process.

“Good Things come to thems that wait,” Liam Fray responded. “God bless the fans.”

It was in 2012 when The Official Charts Company began reflecting the surge in vinyl sales around the UK by compiling the UK Record Store Chart from general sales figures collected at 100 of Britain’s leading independent music shops.
