David Bowie has moved back to number one on the UK Vinyl Singles Chart this week.

As a brand new album is confirmed for January 2016, it’s one of Bowie’s longest established classics ‘Space Oddity‘ which climbs a couple of places, ahead of Jamie xx and ‘Loud Places‘. Courtney Barnett is also a Top 5 new entry this week, while Noel Gallagher is another to jump a few spots with ‘Lock All The Doors‘.

Dedicated vinyl album and singles charts were launched by the Official Charts Company earlier this year in recognition of the continuing resurgence of the traditional format – the singles chart is compiled from sales of 7″ and 12″ records.
