Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear will stage another Nirvana reunion this weekend at the Heaven Is Rock & Roll gala in Los Angeles.

Proceeds will go towards the The Art Of Elysium organisation, and Marilyn Manson, L7 and Cheap Trick are also due for appearances. It’ll be the first time the surviving Nirvana trio have performed together since the Foo Fighters’ CAL JAM event in October 2018, when Deer Tick singer John McCauley and Joan Jett reunited the line-up which inducted Nirvana into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame in 2014, airing Serve The Servants, Scentless Apprentice, In Bloom, Breed, Smells Like Teen Spirit and All Apologies.

This weekend, Grohl, Novoselic and Smear are to be joined by special guests such as Beck and St. Vincent.

Meanwhile, an update was given on the tenth Foo Fighters studio album earlier this week ahead of the band’s US and European gigs which include Boston Calling.
