Foo Fighters have offered an update, of sorts, on the progress of their tenth studio album.

2020 marks 25 years since Dave Grohl went it alone post-Nirvana and launched the Foo Fighters with a self-titled debut album, and it seems no avenue is being left unexplored on the recording of the latest LP. ‘Come on in, the water’s fine’, the Instagram post is captioned with.

Meanwhile, among Foo Fighters’ live commitments this year is a headline spot at Boston Calling along side Red Hot Chili Peppers.

“Boston is such a great city for rock music, and we are so proud to bring some of the most important rock artists of all time to Boston Calling next Memorial Day Weekend,” the event’s co-founder and chief executive Brian Appel said of the pair’s booking.

“We have worked for years to bring the Foo Fighters and Red Hot Chili Peppers to the festival, and this year everything lined up perfectly. We couldn’t be happier, and will complement them with an incredibly diverse lineup of artists throughout the festival weekend.”
