Bilk were in Leeds after finishing up last year with the Allow It EP – ‘just real’, according to singer Sol Abrahams:
“It’s songs I’ve written about things that have happened to me or the way I feel or whatever. I try and capture the moment of whatever it is I’m talking about in the lyrics so whoever’s listening can relate to it and envision it.”
“This is why I’m well into rap as well as the band music, there’s something effective about saying things literally and telling your own story and your own truth, no fancy sentences leaving you rubbing your chin wondering what I’m going on about, just straight forward tunes about real shit.”
