Our recap of the main stories we featured during the past seven days includes brand new music from Chance The Rapper and Soccer Mommy.
Chance The Rapper has been working with his frequent collaborators Peter CottonTale and DexLvL on Child Of God, which also features backing vox from Naïla Opiangah.
New material is still a regular feature then, but the sole full length from Chancelor Bennett aka remains 2019’s The Big Day.

Courtney Barnett has announced the details of her Here And There touring festival, inspired by childhood daydreams.
“When I was a kid I would make mixtapes and dream up my own festivals, I’d even design the T-shirts and pair up musicians for iconic collaborations,” Barnett said of the inspiration behind the festival.
“I’d listen to the mixtape and pretend it was the live recording of a concert, all my favourite artists on stage together.”
Beabadoobee will release her second album Beatopia via Dirty Hit on July 15th.
“I wrote Talk just after my first album,” Bea says. “I was obsessed with Tuesday because I thought it was the best night to go out, not too much chaos but just enough to have a good time.”
“Generally it’s about doing things that aren’t necessarily healthy or great for you but you can’t help indulging. It’s like that unavoidable feeling that you get, you can’t get rid of it and you know it’s bad but you love it really and it’s whatever, so you do it anyway.”
Soccer Mommy by Sophie Hur
Soccer Mommy’s new album Sometimes, Forever has been set for release on June 24th.
It’s been introduced with the track Shotgun, produced by Daniel Lopatin and described by Sophie Allison aka as being, ‘all about the joys of losing yourself in love’: “I wanted it to capture the little moments in a relationship that stick with you.”
With the ongoing tour due in Asbury Park, NJ tomorrow night, a European one has been announced for the late summer and will be bookended by UK dates in Nottingham, Brighton, Bristol, Manchester, Cardiff, London, Birmingham and Glasgow.
Johnny Marr has announced some headline tour dates around his appearance at the BBC 6 Music Festival next month which will keep him match-fit for the arena dates with Blondie which are due to run into May.
There’s gigs at the Gloucester Guildhall and Old Fire Station in Bournemouth before the 6 Music appearance, and further ones in Sheffield and Newcastle before the Blondie tour opens on April 22nd at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow.
Marr will also be spending plenty of time on the road with The Killers this year when he acts as the band’s main support for their North American tour.
Fontaines D.C. have shared the video for their new single Skinty Fia whilst detailing more UK and Ireland tour dates for later this year.
With the LP due on April 22nd, an already hectic schedule has had November shows added, taking the band to Hull, Leeds, Manchester, Stockton, Glasgow, Swansea, Birmingham, London, Edinburgh and Dublin.
A return to North America, meanwhile, is coming up in late April and May, and will include two nights at Brooklyn Steel.
