Mandy Indiana have shared their latest ‘i’ve seen a way‘ single Peach Fuzz, another example of the disorientating sound which the band looked to capture whilst recording in caves, crypts and shopping malls – as explained by guitarist/producer Scott Fair:

“These locations offered something acoustically, but would traditionally be thought of as having the ‘wrong’ characteristics for producing a ‘good’ recording.”

“These spaces imprint on the sound: It’s not about a lack of access to more traditional recording spaces — it’s about us capturing things happening in a specific place at that moment.”

Speedy Ortiz are back with their first piece of new music since 2018.

Scabs marks the permanent arrival of longtime touring members Audrey Zee Whitesides on bass and drummer Joey Doubek in the band with guitarist Andy Molholt and singer/songwriter Sadie Dupuis, who says:

“Living in progressive cities and working in the arts, you meet peers doing tremendous organizing work. And then there are neighbors who signal their ‘good’ politics through yard signs alone.”

Bungalow is previewing the new Creep Show record Yawning Abyss ahead of its release on June 16th.

“I’ve always been a bit obsessed by bungalows and what went on inside them back in the 30s and 40s in LA,” John Grant has said. “I also love to watch noir films and this song is an expression of that.” Stephen ‘Mal’ Mallinder added:

“In the bungalow…the scene of what event? What villainous crime takes place? A Lynchian scenario, flickering neon, a shadowy presence hangs in the air. A lush and sensuous setting for nefarious nocturnal happenings. A soundtrack sets the scene.”

Autobahn have premiered the official video for Ecstasy Of Ruin, the title-track of their long-awaited new studio record.

“Amidst the wreckage of our own humanity, we sometimes find a peculiar sense of bliss,” Craig Johnson said.

“In Ecstasy Of Ruin, we explore the themes of social unrest and power dynamics that haunt us as a society. We delve into the depths of our pain and helplessness, knowing that resolution is often reached only through a brutal confrontation with our demons. But even amidst the turmoil, there’s an underlying desire for beauty, empowerment, and hope.”

The Orielles have unveiled the details of a new EP entitled The Goyt Method.

A Tableau’s Monster, it’ll be made up of five tracks constructed from random parts of their recent fourth studio album.

“Our concept for The Goyt Method was birthed from our interest in cybernetics, improvisation and experimental electronic music,” the band have explained.

Ahead of their appearances at the Coachella weekends this month, The Linda Lindas shared a brand new track entitled Too Many Things.

“We had a nonstop, jam-packed, and awesome 2022 playing shows, going on tours, and meeting fans and making friends across the U.S. as well as Spain, Germany, England, Japan, Canada, and Mexico,” the band said.

“After taking a short break to catch our breath, recharge, focus on school, and go back into the studio, we are ready to share a song about how everything unfolds so fast all the time—the surprises, the disappointments, and the opportunities that pass us by at every moment. In the midst of all this, we hope you have space for “Too Many Things” and are ready for more music, shows, and announcements coming soon!”
