Boardmasters 2023 will take place in Cornwall between August 9th-13th.
Liam Gallagher and Florence & The Machine are leading the first wave of artists for next year’s Boardmasters festival.
Along side those headliners are Mercury winner Little Simz, Four Tet, Example, Jockstrap, Connie Constance and more, while Ben Nicky and Dimension are among those topping the DJ/Electro bill.
For Liam Gallagher, it’ll be another big festival headline to add to the list which has taken in a whole load since the launch of his solo career, those including last year’s Isle Of Wight event.
“Given that Bonehead is up on stage here with him, that his son Gene comes out to bang a snare for one song to the interest of no-one but himself and the old man, that there’s nothing but a few cursory nods to As You Were and Why Me. Why Not? during the near two hours, whether all this success is now entirely reliant on the levels of nostalgia normally reserved for joint boyband tours is certainly up for debate,” our review reads.
“But it’s certainly not a debate to be had during one of his gigs, when the spectacle and sheer community of an Oasis concert is so tangible 1996 can almost be reached out and touched. If Noel Gallagher was the voice of a generation, then Liam Gallagher was the voice of the voice of a generation, and here it’s sounding as good as it has in over 20 years.”
