The EP contains tracks Hovvdy wrote during the sessions for their 2021 album True Love.
Hovvdy are previewing more of their new EP ‘billboard for my feelings’ today ahead of its release later this month.
With Everything and Town already out, a video for Hide has now been shared, leaving opener Ruby still to come on May 27th.
“The full-on origins of Hovvdy is getting lost,” the duo say. “The first two albums we made were really for no one other than our friends and ourselves. Getting lost, and not having to worry about anything, is something we kind of find again for these songs.”
“I allowed myself to focus more on how everything feels, and a little less about telling a complex story,” Charlie adds. “Both are super valuable – how a melody or texture makes you feel, versus how a super-emotional piece of songwriting impacts you.”
“We got to have more fun; we got to cut back,” Will adds. “I’m realizing there are many forms Hovvdy can return to, and this EP is a different form.”
