John Grant has moved his UK and Ireland tour dates into 2021, when a new album may well be ready to go.

The appearance at London’s Alexandra Palace Theatre will now take place on March 19th 2021, while dates in Bexhill On Sea, Bath, Cardiff, Dublin, Gateshead and Manchester have all been moved to May next year as Grant works on a follow-up to Love Is Magic – one of Live4ever’s top picks of 2018:

“This cavalcade of wit and bestial commentary ends with Touch And Go, a signature ballad that deals articulately with the ordeal of whistle-blower Chelsea Manning from the point of view of a non-judgemental bystander born to an information age which makes us all feel like we know everyone else by a single degree of separation,” our review reads.

“It’s a fittingly conversational end to a record by what’s become one of contemporary music’s singular phenomena, a go-anywhere talent willing to smother his defining characteristics in favour of satirising himself, virtue and the limpness of our modern-day human spirit.”
