Fontaines D.C. have joined Neighbourhood Weekender 2020, which will be held at Victoria Park in Warrington between May 23rd-24th.

The band will play the day headlined by Ian Brown which already includes Sam Fender, Shed Seven and Pale Waves, while Catfish & The Bottlemen are the other headliners and are joined by Miles Kane, Sundara Karma and The Pigeon Detectives.

Fontaines are lining up some big gigs of their own for next year with work underway on the follow-up to this year’s defining debut album Dogrel. “Dogrel closes with Dublin City Sky, a rolling shanty as close to anything MacGowan has ever growled out, two sets of misty eyes scraping themselves up from horizons which will soon be no more, if they ever even were,” our review reads.

“Both are windows onto the souls of geniuses flawed but Fontaines D.C., via this brilliant slash of poetic trauma, seem to have got the rest of it all figured out, a band tied to the apron strings of a city which once made fortunes and sheltered paupers.”
