A video for Thermometer has been premiered after the release of Ezra Furman‘s new album Twelve Nudes last month.

“Thermometer was inspired by touring with the inimitable So So Glos back in 2014, wondering if I could write anthems like theirs,” Furman reveals. “It’s called Thermometer because as artists it’s our job to check the temperature of the surrounding culture and try to respond with the appropriate musical medicine.”

“Right now we’re all running so hot the mercury is breaking the glass.”

This follows promos for album tracks I Wanna Be Your Girlfriend, Evening Prayer and Calm Down with UK tour dates at the QMU in Glasgow, Manchester’s Albert Hall, the O2 Academy in Bristol and London’s O2 Forum Kentish Town coming up in November.

“Furman spends the entire album digging deep into what made that decade so unique and individual, leaving a record that’s fun, dumb and full of drums,” Live4ever said in our Twelve Nudes review. Check it out right here.
