‘A song about extreme denial’ is how Bridie-Monds Watson described her first move since the 2015 debut album Before We Forgot How To Dream, continuing:
“More specifically about my stubborn ability to convince myself I don’t want something that I do and blind my rational thought process – I suppose in this case, as a way of self-protection (and avoiding vulnerability).”
The promo has been directed by Joseph Wilson, who says it ‘expands upon themes from the song, and plays upon the idea of rejecting something that deep down you know you want, and flows from a straightforward narrative into a visceral, dream-like state, emulating the journey from reticent caterpillar into technicolour butterfly’.
UK and Ireland tour dates will take place next month, comprising visits to Belfast, Dublin, Manchester and London.
