How many faces can you spot auditioning for Laurie Vincent?

There might be contenders for the Slaves drumkit from Royal Blood, The Maccabees, Hinds and even Blur, but by the end of the band’s video for new cut Chokehold, it’s only Isaac whom Laurie has eyes for.

The track follows Cut And Run in previewing Slaves’ upcoming third studio album Acts Of Fear And Love, which will be released on August 17th as the successor to 2016’s Take Control.

“Anger at the mundanity of life might not be new either, nor is trying to express this through music, but the sheer honesty and reality of Slaves in how they approach these vignettes of misery paint some of the best snapshots of modern life you could imagine,” our review concluded.

“And now, with their enlarged musical pallet, it’s impossible not to be amazed by just how exciting this record is.”
