Field Music post official video for Count It Up

Field Music have posted an official video for Count It Up, the lead single from their new album Open Here.

The promo was directed by Andy Martin and finds the band in familiar Sunderland territory, this after Peter Brewis had explained that the track was written in response to the town becoming, ‘infamous in that it was the first place that voted for Brexit, and that threw into really stark relief loads of fears I have about where we live’.

“We initially talked about filming this video in parts of Sunderland that were either conspicuously run down or conspicuously well-to-do,” David Brewis has now said.

“But once we started we realised that the most interesting locations were the ones that had been up and down and sometimes were up and down at the same time; derelict factories that used to be the economic centre of the city or former shipyards that had been turned into apartments or business parks.”
