The Last Shadow Puppets continued their touring behind this year’s ‘Everything You’ve Come To Expect‘ album at Manchester’s Castlefield Bowl last weekend, when they were joined on stage by a very special local hero.

Alex Turner and Miles Kane were back at number one in the UK in April with their second album as a pair, and before then had told Live4ever how the partnership was rekindled over half a decade on from their debut.

“For me I’d always thought if we were going to do one of these again we’d need a stimulus like we had the first time,” Turner told us. “We’d just become friends and were enjoying each others’ company. We had something we were chasing after that we’d just found, and I thought if we were going to do it again, do we need a new thing that we’re going to be chasing after?”

“I realised that’s not the case because, as important as that reference material was for the first record, really it’s about the songs themselves and us creating them together.”
