The super busy Wolf Alice played their part in a Parklife event which has said was the best yet, and which featured tributes to the late David Bowie.
“It’s a really soppy one, but I was away in January in Rome when I woke up to the news that Bowie was dead, and I came home I was so devastated by it,” he told the Manchester Evening News. “I think about it quite a lot, it had quite an impact on me this year.”
“Parklife was bookended by David Bowie and his music. When we did the sound tests on Friday, they were playing Blackstar (from his final album), which was a complete coincidence because I didn’t ask anyone to play it.”
“And then the last track to be played on the last night was by DJ Emma Wilkinson who played Let’s Dance. It was nice to bookend it in that way.”
