The Manic Street Preachers have recorded the Wales football team’s official song for the 2016 European Championships.

Wales have qualified for their first major international summer tournament since the FIFA World Cup of 1958, and begin their campaign in France on June 11th, 2016 against Slovakia. The remainder of group B consists of Russia and local rivals England.

And one of the biggest bands to come from Welsh shores have confirmed on Twitter they’ll be soundtracking it all with a new song entitled ‘Together Stronger (C’mon Wales)‘.

“It’s with great pride we can announce the Manics are providing the official Wales Euro 2016 song – ‘Together Stronger (C’mon Wales)’,” they wrote.

The Manic Street Preachers will be hoping a good campaign for Wales can add to their own year of celebrations surrounding the 20th anniversary ‘Everything Must Go‘.

The band reissues their fourth studio album in May and are due to round off a tour of the UK with an outdoor gig at Swansea’s Liberty Stadium on May 28th.
