Manic Street Preachers’ Nicky Wire has described it as, ‘our most estranged album of all’.

2004’s Lifeblood is next up in Manic Street Preachers‘ reissue series.

The 20th anniversary edition will be released on April 12th, featuring remastered tracks, B-sides, demos, outtakes, liner notes by John Harris and pictures by Mitch Ikeda.

“The main lyrical themes are death and solitude and ghosts,” Wire added, “being haunted by history and being haunted by your own past,” while James Dean Bradfield concluded:

I loved making Lifeblood, because it was interesting. I loved chasing these other versions of what we were trying to do.
