The Beatles‘ 2000 singles compilation ‘1‘ – already one of this century’s biggest sellers – is receiving a deluxe, remastered reissue next month, and the first results of that restoration process are in evidence on the promo for ‘Revolution‘ which can be seen below.

The fresh cut of the harsher, ‘Hey Jude‘ b-side version of ‘Revolution’ – as opposed to the Lennon-approved take found on The White Album – adds more clarity to a video which has for a long time now been offering fans a rare opportunity to enjoy the Fab Four in a live setting post-1966

Blur played Madison Square Garden last night (October 23rd) as part of their whistle-stop visit to the States.

Supported by Courtney Barnett, the band dipped in to this year’s comeback album ‘The Magic Whip‘ on plenty of occasions, but also aired some of their fondly remembered 90s hits such as ‘Parklife‘, ‘End Of a Century‘ and ‘Coffee & TV‘.

Wolf Alice will begin a new run UK and Irish tour dates at the Belfast Limelight on March 4th next year.

A gig in Dublin follows a day later after which the band hit English shores for a show in Stoke on March 7th. The tour will end on March 27th at The Forum in London.

Julien Temple’s film The Ecstasy Of Wilko Johnson, which charts the Dr. Feelgood guitarist’s death-defying fight against cancer, will be released on DVD this December.

The life and times of Wilko Johnson have always been unpredictable, but when news broke of his cancer diagnosis in January 2013 few could have imagined the incredibly inspiring story which would play out during the next year or so.

Adele has confirmed her new album will be entitled ‘25‘.

“When I was 7, I wanted to be 8,” she’s said on Twitter. “When I was 8, I wanted to be 12. When I turned 12 I just wanted to be 18. Then after that I stopped wanting to be older. Now I’m ticking 16-24 boxes just to see if I can blag it! I feel like I’ve spent my whole life so far wishing it away.”

Noel Gallagher will head out on another UK arena tour in April 2016, carrying his recent Q Award winning second solo album ‘Chasing Yesterday‘.

Gallagher and his High Flying Birds open at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow on April 21st 2016, and subsequently play Aberdeen, Liverpool, Leeds, Birmingham and Bournemouth. Support comes from Super Furry Animals. The shows add to a previously announced appearance at the Clyde 1 event in December. Also, Gallagher won the Q Best Album prize on October 19th.

Savages have confirmed their second studio album ‘Adore Life‘ will be released on January 22nd 2016.

The follow-up to 2013’s Mercury nominated ‘Silence Yourself‘ was recorded at London’s RAK Studios in April 2015 with Johnny Hostile producing, and is being led with a video for ‘The Answer‘.
