Noel Gallagher has claimed recent reports that a Scottish journalist was banned from one of his gigs after giving his new solo album ‘Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds‘ a poor review are ‘ludicrous’.
Writing on his newly-relaunched, award winning tour diary Tales From The Middle Of Nowhere, Gallagher also said he believes the stories have been circulated due to someone ‘wanting to make a name for himself’.
“There was also a story in one of the local newspapers that I’d had some hairdresser-turned-journalist BANNED from the gig for apparently shitting on my album? A ludicrous claim,” he wrote. “As you might guess, I’m not an avid reader of the local Edinburgh News. Sounds like someone trying to make a name for himself, if you ask me.”
Noel Gallagher recently completed his first UK solo tour in London, while his debut solo record continues to perform strongly on the charts, and is projected to retain its place in the UK Top 5 on Sunday according to midweek figures released yesterday.
