Friendly Fires will take their new album ‘Pala‘ out on the road this coming November, for a series of UK dates.
The tour begins at Bristol’s O2 Academy on November 10th, and hits Scotland for a show at Glasgow Barrowlands on the 18th. Dates in Leeds, Cambridge and Lincoln will follow, before proceedings are brought to an end at the Brixton Academy on November 25th.
‘Pala’, the band’s second studio effort, was released earlier this month and has been described by frontman Ed Macfarlane as ‘what 2011 needs’.
The more ‘poppy’ sound which the group promised is very much in evidence on first single ‘Live Those Days Tonight‘, which has resulted in a big radio hit for the group, and with the remainder of the record largely following the single’s lead, Friendly Fires are likely to continue filling up airtime over the course of the summer.
Tickets for the UK tour are due to go on from this Friday (27th May), at 9am.
