The New Tunes Guide has highlights this week from Liverpool based Elevant and South London’s Formation.
Elevant have announced ‘Open Heart Surgery’ as the the first single to be taken from their forthcoming ‘Dreamface’ album ahead of its release on March 13th. “We picked it because it’s short and sweet, and encompasses a lot of our different aspects of our sound,” the band have said. “It’s a first person account of my grandmother getting a triple heart bypass in her 80s, and the inherent worries about death that come with it.”
Formation have set their debut EP ‘Young Ones’ for release on March 23rd via Meno Records. The twin brothers arrived with a physical only white label release last summer, and play European dates including a stop off at Great Escape in Brighton during the coming months.
