The Manic Street Preachers will take their ‘Holy Bible‘ 20th anniversary celebrations to North America later this year.

The band spent some time mulling over whether to mark the birthday of their 1994 third album with a dedicated tour, but in the end did indeed opt to play the record in full during a run of UK gigs towards the end of last year, primarily thanks to the space afforded to them by the successes of ‘Rewind The Film‘ and ‘Futurology‘.

“If we’d been coming off the back of a bit of a dud album then we probably would’ve thought people might think we’re doing this because we’ve had a bad year or something,” Nicky Wire told the BBC. “But because we’ve had such a good year, it feels like the right time.”

Now, similar shows in the States and Canada have been confirmed for April. The full details are as follows:

APRIL
Washington DC, 9.30 Club (20)
New York, Webster Hall (23)
Boston, The Sinclair (24)
Toronto, Danforth (27)
Chicago, Metro (29)
