Live4ever’s New Tunes Guide feat. Snapped Ankles, Wolf Alice and Ryan Vail

Snapped Ankles describe their music as a ‘collision of art-punk and noise’ but more immediately draw to mind the atmospheric hum of late seventies new wave most expertly realised by Joy Division on their debut single ‘True Ecology (shit everywhere)’, out on Ears Have Eyes on 25th March 2013.

Elsewhere, Wolf Alice invite us to take in a story all about the boredom of misspent youth, a neutered cat called Fluffy and their own genesis in just over three minutes nonsense free rock, while Derry’s Ryan Vail is joined by Katie Cosgrove for an inescapably post-XX sound on the single ‘Sunlight’.

All three bands are the highlights of this week’s New Tunes Guide.
